"In  my work, I attempt to seek out and work with people who have personal investment in the subject matter and  fit with the construction of  the image I have in my mind. This, I believe, adds to the  authenticity of the image and overall essence of the project itself.  Evoking the performer in my participants  to emerge, whilst maintaining their candor, is a balancing act.  I like  seeing my participants comfortably exposed, and I am willing to join them in their moment of vulnerability.   I enjoy connecting with people on a personal and equal level, as opposed to adhering to the  'subject-photographer,' relationship divide. "
